Matteo Liberati was born in Cagliari on February 2, 1979.
PhD in European Union Law, since 2007 he has collaborated regularly with the Ciulli Law Firm.
Since December 2017 he has been a trainer for FORMEZ PA.
Until January 2015 he was a research fellow at the Department of Social Sciences and Institutions of the University of Cagliari (research project funded by the European Commission: state aid and sovereign debt crisis).
Graduated with honors in Law in 2005 at the University of Cagliari with a thesis on European Union law entitled “The protection of human rights in the community order in view of the accession of the European Community to the European Convention for the safeguard of human rights and fundamental freedoms “, in 2006 he attended the Master in European Private Law directed by Prof. Guido Alpa, at the University of Rome” La Sapienza “, obtaining his qualification with honors the following year with a research project on the subject of access to regulated professions in the internal market.
Also in 2007, he attended the Private International Law Summer Course of the Hague Academy of International Law.
In 2010 he obtained the qualification to practice the legal profession and in 2012 he obtained the title of PhD in European Union Law at the University of Trieste with a thesis entitled “The jurisdictional protection of individuals in the action of the European regulatory agencies “.
In 2005 and 2006 he was tutor for the course of International and European Union law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Cagliari, under the direction of Prof. I. Castangia and Prof. F. Seatzu. In 2007 he was tutor for the course of International Law at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Cagliari under the direction of Prof. G. Biagioni. From 2008 to 2010 he was tutor for the course of international law at the Interuniversity Consortium for the Telematic University of Sardinia – UNISOFIA Project.
From 2009 to 2011 he worked at the Directorate for International Relations of the University of Cagliari dealing with international cooperation agreements.
He has been registered with the Cagliari Bar since 2011.
Since 2013 he is a member of the Italian Association of European Jurists.
Since 2017 he is a member of the Italian Society of Administrative Lawyers.
